TAMESIDE  &  SADDLEWORTH  RETROFIT  ASSESSMENTS

The Assessment Journey

01

Initial Property Visit

A deep-dive audit where I measure and document your property. This physical survey is the foundation and will take between 1-2 hours depending on property size and complexity of the construction.

This will involve taking measurements and photographs, requiring access to the entire property. I will also need to see a recent utility bill to gague your current energy usage.

Next, we will have a chat about any seasonal issues with damp or condensation, how you use energy, and your daily activities such as cooking, laundry and bathing, as activities within the home can impact moisture levels.

Specialist software and expert knowledge then begins to generate a comprehensive audit of your home's thermal performance and carbon footprint.

02

Underpinning  the Process

The ''Fabric First'' approach assesses the structural integrity of your home to advise on repairs and improvements that should be addressed before energy measures are introduced. This ensures that efficiency measures won't be compromised or negated by defects in the buildings' structure.

The PAS 2035 Standards set out by the Government ensure a comprehensive technical assessment that is compliant with national standards, highlighting specific retrofit opportunities for your property. For more information on PAS 2035 please see my FAQ page.

03

Your Tailored Report

The resulting report detailing actionable steps on home improvements to reduce your carbon footprint and reduce your monthly energy bills.

The report will be lodged with the TrustMark Data Warehouse, where it can be accessed in perpetuity.

04

Onwards...

It is then your decision whether to proceed with your retrofit journey and instruct a Retrofit Coordinator and/or accredited installers to oversee your ongoing project.
